JUST4KEEPERS COMING TO LENASIA
The community of Lenasia and its surrounding areas are being treated to a specialised goalkeeper’s clinic come 7th of November 2009. The need for development amongst keepers has been lacking over the years and Shane Nienaber, a passionate coach and one of the few in South Africa with a UEFA B License is eager to see this rectified.
“I would like to give the kids that cannot afford to pay for specialized goalkeeper coaching every opportunity to become a top quality professional”.
Just4Keepers is an independent academy running in 7 countries and has 355 years professional / semi professional playing experience between the coaches of J4K. It has produced professional and international players and specialised goalkeeper coaches. The Academy’s track record has shown that players, both boys and girls coming through the Just4Keepers Academy have earned trials and apprenticeships at clubs at all levels, obtained scholarships abroad and gone on to become professionals.
Nienaber, intends using his own experiences as a player, a trainee of the Bobby Charlton School of Coaching and the backing of Just4Keepers to produce goalkeepers that are able to compete on the international football scene. “South Africa has not produced an English Premiership Keeper since the likes of Bruce Grobelaar and Gary Bailey. I have a dream of coaching kids in the long term and producing at least 3 in the not too distant future”.
